Darlene Scott Obituary (1953 - 2017)

Darlene Scott, 64, of Madisonville, KY passed away Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Baptist Health in Madisonville. She was born July 3, 1953 in Madisonville to the late Oda William Saint and Anna Margaret Locke. She was also preceded in death by her second husband, Glynn Scott. Darlene worked as a ward clerk at Baptist Health for 46 years. She enjoyed camping and spending time at the lake. She loved spending time with her friends, family, and grandkids. She loved motorcycle riding with her Jewell Baby and Listening to him sing and play his guitar. She is survived by her fianc, Jewell Gates; one son, Chris (Susan) Stokes of Madisonville and one daughter, Stacy Stokes of Madisonville; one brother, Rick (Shirley) Pryor of Madisonville; four grandchildren, Krystalin Thompson, Shelby Jones, Brandin Stokes, and Kylee Brady; and three great grandchildren, Braylee Jones, Bentley Jones, and Everett Thompson. She is also survived by her first husband and father to her children, Richard Dewey Stokes. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, December 21 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Roy Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday and from 11:00 A.M. until the service time Thursday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Greg Gates, CJ Gates, Brandin Stokes, Trent Jones, Keith Thompson, and Rick Pryor.
