Katherine Tucker Parsons Obituary (1913 - 2005)

Mrs. Katherine Tucker Parsons, 92, of Madisonville, KY, died Thursday, April 28, 2005, at 10:17 P.M., at her home. \ Born March 17, 1913, in Hopkins County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Henry Bernice Campbell and Iva Lee Harris Campbell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Rev. Arthur King Tucker in 1970, and Cleo Wayne Parsons in 2003; one son, Doug Tucker on April 29, 2003, and by three brothers and one sister. \ Mrs. Parsons was a member of Hopewell Street General Baptist Church where she was a sunday school teacher and treasurer. She was a saleslady for Big K and was an owner of several flea markets. \ She is survived by one daughter, Janice Patterson of Madisonville; two sons, Kenny Tucker and Roger Tucker, both of Madisonville; four step-daughters, Joyce Thatcher, Geraldine Stewart, and Judy Mosley, all of Crofton, KY, and Sandy Donovan of Hopkinsville, KY; one step-son, Bronnie Parsons of Eddyville, KY; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be Sunday, May 1, 2005, at 2:00 P.M., at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bros. James Parish, Bob Williams, and Edward Back officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. \ Visitation will be Saturday, April 30, 2005, from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., and from 9:00 A.M. until the funeral time on Sunday at the funeral home. \ Memorials may be made to the Hopewell Street General Baptist Church Building Fund, 1243 Tucker Schoolhouse Road, Madisonville, KY 42431. \ \ \ \
