Gene Roberts Obituary (1931 - 2007)

Mr. Gene Roberts, 76, of Madisonville, KY died Friday, August 10, 2007 at Select Hospital in Evansville, IN. \ Born January 17, 1931 in Eldorado, IL he was the son of the late Obe Roberts and Eva Francis Roberts. \ He was a coal miner for several years; becoming a Federal Mine Inspector with MSHA before retiring. \ He is survived by his wife, Shirley Roberts of Madisonville; three daughters, Brenda Harrison of Eldorado, Tonia Smith and Lori Rickard, both of Madisonville; three sons, Francis Eugene Roberts and Gary Roberts, both of Eldorado and Terry Cox of Attica, IN; one brother, Vic Roberts of Illinois; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. \ There will be a private family memorial service at a later date. \ Memorial gifts may take the form of donations to the American Heart Association. \ Online condolences may be made to the family at www.barnettstrother.com. \
