Geneva Vaughn Obituary (1921 - 2004)

rs. Geneva Vaughn, 82, of Hanson, KY, formerly of Paducah, KY, died Friday, April 9, 2004, at 9:40 P.M., at the Oak Ridge Retirement Center in Madisonville. \ Born September 8, 1921, in Marion, IL, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Benjamin Choate and Gracie Fisher Choate. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Scott Vaughn in 2000; one son, Robert Steven Vaughn; and four sisters. \ She was a beautician and a member of the Broadway Baptist Church in Paducah. \ She is survived by a daughter, Bettie Fisher King of Studio City, CA; a son, Mike Vaughn of Hanson; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be Monday, April 12, 2004, at 11:00 A.M. at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Ellis officiating. A graveside service will be held on Monday at 2:30 P.M., at the Reevesville Cemetery in Reevesville, IL. \ Visitation will be Monday, April 12, from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home. \ Memorials may take the form of contributions to the American Diabetes Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \ \
