Gertie Lee Jones Obituary (1926 - 2005)

Mrs. Gertie Lee Jones, 78, of Madisonville, KY died at 8:33 A.M. Saturday, March 5, 2005, at her home. \ Born September 16, 1926 in Madisonville, she was the daughter of the late Robert Marshall Henderson and Nellie Herald Howard. In addition to her parents she was preceded by her husband, Herschel T. Jones, October 3, 1988, her stepfather, Ellis Howard, one brother, Morris Henderson and one great grandson, Mason Willcox. \ She was a member of Covenant Community Church. \ Surviving are two daughters, Lynda Kuster of Radcliff, KY and Joanna Hargis of Madisonville; two sons, Ronnie Bear Jones of Madisonville and Wayne Tiny Jones of Nortonville, KY; one sister, Bonnie Wiles of Madisonville; her stepmother, Martha Henderson of Madisonville; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two nieces and two nephews. \ Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 8, 2005, at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Knight and Rev. Roy Ellis officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery. \ Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday and after 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. \ Memorials may take the form of donations to Green River Hospice or Mahr Cancer Center. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \ \
