Marion \Slick\"" Utley Obituary (1912 - 2005)

r. Marion Slick Utley, 93, of Madisonville, KY, died Tuesday, December 6, 2005, at 9:45 P.M., at his home. \ Born August 16, 1912, in Hopkins County, KY, he was the son of the late Robert F. Utley and Ola Mae Crowell Utley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Wilma Day and a brother, Charles Edward Utley. \ He worked in the coal mines and earned his foremans certificate before his retirement. He was a member of Richland Missionary Baptist Church. \ He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Verna Ruth Lee Utley of Madisonville; two sisters, Imogene Ledbetter of Madisonville, and Dorothy Doehring of Nashville, IL; and several nieces and nephews. \ Funeral services will be Friday, December 9, 2005, at 2:00 P.M., at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Lantrip officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. \ Visitation will be Friday, December 9, from 11:00 A.M. until the service time at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home. \
