J. B. Higgins Obituary (1940 - 2015)

J.B. Higgins, 75 of Madisonville, KY passed away Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Baptist Health in Madisonville. Mr. Higgins was born January 4, 1940 in Hopkins Co. KY to the late Carl Higgins and Jane Bruce Higgins. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Carroll Higgins and an infant sister, Shirley Higgins. He was retired manager from Walter Ruby Farms and a member of the Serenity House. He is survived by one daughter, Lori Higgins of Owensboro, KY; one son, J. Brian Higgins of Madisonville; one sister, Barbara Bennett of Hodgenville, KY; one brother, John Higgins of Madisonville; and nephew, Bill Higgins. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Rutherford. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Madisonville. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. Tuesday until service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Serenity House. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
