James Donald \Don\"" Ashby Obituary (1942 - 2004)

Mr. James Donald Don Ashby, 62, of Madisonville, KY died at 6:50 P.M. Monday, July 12, 2004 at the Regional Medical Center. \ Born May 20, 1942 in Hopkins County, KY he was the son of the late James Nokomis Ashby and his grandparents, Ben and Connie Parker and Tommy and Bertha Ashby. \ He was a manager of surface operations for Andalex Resources and a member of the Providence Rural United Methodist Church in Hanson. He was also a member of the B.P.O.E. Lodge #738 in Madisonville. \ He is survived by his wife, Peggy Ashby of Madisonville; his mother, Ruth Parker Ashby of Hanson; one daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Dan Stoltz of Madisonville; one son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Margo Ashby of Madisonville; three brothers, Darcy Lee Ashby of Fulton, MO, David J. Ashby and Dralon T. Ashby, both of Madisonville and five grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, July 15, 2004 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Don McLaughlin and Rev. Jerry Hatchett officiating. Burial will follow in the West Lawn Cemetery in Hanson, KY. \ Friends may call from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday and on Thursday from 9:00 A.M. until the service at the funeral home. \ Memorial gifts may take the form of donations to the Relay For Life Fund or the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \
