Jr. Rudd Obituary (1932 - 2011)

Mr. Jr Rudd 79, of Madisonville, KY passed away Monday, June 13, 2011, at his residence in Madisonville. \ He was born May 2, 1932 in Madisonville, KY to the late Ulus Laurel Rudd and Flossie Fowler Rudd. He was also preceded in death by one infant son, Steven Rudd and a great grandchild, Skylar Atherton. \ Mr. Rudd was a member of Providence Rural United Methodist Church, a retired farmer and a former member of the Hopkins County Fiscal Court. \ He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Kathryn Hall Rudd of Madisonville; two sons, David (Brenda) Rudd of Sebree, KY and Rodger (Lisa) Rudd of Hanson, KY; one daughter, Sue Ann Rudd of Hanson; ten grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.. \ Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Glenn Sowards and Bro. Leighton Thomison and Bro. Charles Ladd officiating. Burial will follow in West Lawn Cemetery in Hanson. \ Visitation will be 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday and after 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. \ Pallbearers will be W.T. Fowler, Shawn Rudd, Rick Rudd, Steven Rudd, Ben Littlepage and John Keller. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Baldwin, John Holluman, Charles Ashby and Earl Ashby. \ Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Western KY. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \
