Lula Jeanette Mills Smith Obituary (1938 - 2014)

\ \ Lula Jeanette 'Mills' Smith, 76, of Madisonville, KY passed away, September 2, 2014 at her residence. \ She was born February 22, 1938 in Madisonville, to the late Walter Thomas Mills and Agnes Adell Holmes Mills. She was also preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. \ Mrs. Smith attended Earlington Assembly of God. She made her living as a homemaker. \ She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 52 years, Kermit Smith of Madisonville; two daughters, Cindy (Jody) Larkins of Madisonville; and Theresa Todd of North Carolina; two sons, Roger (Barbara) Patterson of Hanson, KY, and Kelly (Trina) Smith of Nortonville, KY; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Colby Patterson; and care givers, Teresa Hendricks and Sparky Steele. \ Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday September 5, 2014 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Duke officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. \ Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the service time Friday at the funeral home. \ Pallbearers will be Colby Patterson, Jerrod Larkins, Barry Yeiser, Chris Martin, Leon Smith, and Donald DeMoss. Honorary pallbearers will be Maxon Yeiser and Bowen Yeiser. \
