Mary Helen Monroe Carter

Mrs. Mary Helen Monroe Carter, 64, of Lexington, KY passed away at 6:50 A.M., Friday, February 5, 2010 at her daughters residence in Corydon, IN. \ She was born September 12, 1945 in Madisonville, KY to James Carter of Madisonville, KY and the late Margaret Helen Gibson Carter. She is also preceded in death by one sister, Ruby Lindsey and one brother, Ronnie Carter. \ Mrs. Carter was a homemaker. \ She is survived by four daughters, Barbara Hamblin of Lexington, Tina Burns of Nortonville, Melissa Andrews of Corydon and Victoria Gross of Lexington; one son, William Owen Andrews, III of Louisville, KY; three sisters, Connie Carter and Joann Lindsey both of Madisonville, Lena Lindsey of Paris, TN; four brothers, Bobby Carter, Glenn Carter and Jerry Carter all of Madisonville, Larry Carter of Lexington; eighteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. \ Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 P.M., Monday, February 8, 2010 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Pastor Phillip Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery in Madisonville. \ Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the service time on Monday at the funeral home. \ Memorial contributions may take the form of donation to the Mary Helen Monroe Carter Memorial Fund, c/o Integra Bank, 1910 S. Main Street, Madisonville, KY 42431. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \
