McHenry Lee Buchanan Obituary (1934 - 2014)

\ McHenry Lee Buchanan, 80, of Mortons Gap, KY passed away, October 15, 2014 at Hillside Villa in Madisonville. \ \ He was born June 18, 1934 in Madisonville to the late William Stanley Buchanan and Bernice Segars Buchanan. He was also preceded in death by one son; Mark Buchanan and one daughter, Donna Larkin. \ \ Mr. Buchanan was owner of M&S BBQ. He wrote political short stories for the newspapers. He loved politics and doing research on bridges. \ \ He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Sue Kirkwood Buchanan; two daughters, Linda K. (Tony) Reynolds of Madisonville and Tamara Manzo of Madisonville; one son, Michael Buchanan of Greenville, KY; fourteen grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. \ \ Memorial services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 17, 2014 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Hendricks officiating. \ \ Visitation will be 9:00 A.M. until the service time Friday at the funeral home. \ \ Memorials donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Envelopes will be made available at the funeral home. \ \
