Michael \Mike\"" Wayne Day Obituary (1937 - 2007)

Mr. Michael Mike Wayne Day, 69, of Madisonville, KY died at 8:01 A.M. Thursday, August 30, 2007 at the Regional Medical Center. \ Born December 9, 1937 in Madisonville, KY he was the son of the late Roscoe Thomas Day and Anna Mae Harned Day. He was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Day. \ He was a former postman for the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member and Sunday School Superintendent of Love United Baptist Church. He was a former State of KY and Kroger Grocerys employee. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and member of the American Legion. \ He is survived by one daughter, Teresa Parker Winters of Northport, AL, two sons, Michael W. Mickey Day II of Folsom, LA. and David Eldon Parker of Dixon, KY; one sister, Beverly Adair Mangan of San Antonio, TX; one brother, Roscoe T. Day Jr. of Louisville, KY; his caregiver, Cozie McGregor of Madisonville; two grandchildren and five great grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, September 1, 2007 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bros Marshall Lee and David Parker. Burial will follow in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. \ Friends may call from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday and on Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until the services. \ Memorial gifts may take the form of donations to the Love United Baptist Church,2001 Meadowlark Lane, Madisonville,KY. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \
