Mickey Ferrell Obituary (1948 - 2018)

Mickey Ferrell, 70 of Madisonville, KY passed away Monday, June 4, 2018 at the Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson. He was born March 9, 1948 in Madisonville to the late Euvena and Avis Ferrell. He was also preceded in death by grandparents, Lossie and Sammy Ferrell and Mary and Wesley Hawkins. Mickey was a Vietnam Veteran and part of the Class of 1967 at Madisonville High School. He was a member and served as a deacon at Pritchett's Chapel in Hanson. He formerly worked for Jem Sales before retiring. Mickey enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding horses, and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his brother, Terry (Sonja) Ferrell of Madisonville. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Terry officiating. Burial will follow in Grapevine Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Robin Troop, Mark Troop, Stephen Durham, Shane Crawford, Aaron Ferrell, Neal Ferrell, and Will Ray Hawkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Cardwell, Ronnie Buchanan, and Doug Crabtree. Memorial contributions may be made to the Western Kentucky Veterans Center. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
