Michael R. \5-0\"" Fugate Obituary (1957 - 2014)

\ Michael R. '5-0' Fugate, 57, of Madisonville, KY, passed away Friday, April 4, 2014 at his residence. \ He was born February 10, 1957 in Oak Harbor, WA to the late Donald R. Fugate and May S. Okano Fugate. \ Mr. Fugate retired as a police officer from the Madisonville Police Department and currently worked as a bailiff for the Hopkins County Sheriff's Office. He graduated from Providence High School in the Class of 1975. He was an avid collector and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was also a U.S. Army veteran. \ He is survived by his wife of thirty six and a half years, Regina; one daughter, Tiffany Fugate Powell of Madisonville; one son, Chad Michael (Joy) Fugate of Dawson Springs, KY; five sisters, Linda Puckett of Providence, KY, Adele (Carl) Pryor of White Plains, KY, Dora (John) Ipock of Providence, Teresa (Allen 'Cos') Perkins of Providence, and Angel (John) Haynie of Madisonville; several grandchildren, Brittany, Meagan, Lillian, Cameron, Michael, Cindy, and C.J; and several nieces and nephews. \ Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Shalmon Radford officiating. Burial will follow at White Oak Cemetery near Clay, KY. \ Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday and from 9:00 AM until service time Wednesday at the funeral home. An F.O.P. service will be held during visitation at 7:30 PM on Tuesday. The Madisonville Police Department will be providing the Honor Guard. \ Pallbearers will be Roy D. 'Butiche' Sims, Billy Joe Sterling, and members of the Sheriff's Office. \
