Nolan Ray Wallace Obituary (1933 - 2009)

Mr. Nolan Wallace, 76, of St. Charles, KY passed away at 11:50 A.M., Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at the Regional Medical Center. \ He was born April 15, 1933, in Webster County, KY to the late John and Alice Dillback Wallace. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Charline Harris Wallace, one daughter, Alice (Sissie) Wallace Draper and one grandson, Gary Anthony (Andy) Todd, II, one brother, John (Bud) Wallace, six sisters, Jewel Fry, Betty Snoots, Dixie Crowley, Edith Jameson, Nina Marvel and Nelda Anderson. \ Mr. Wallace was a Coal miner for Peabody Coal Company and a member of Star of Bethlehem Church. \ He is survived by three sons, James Bobo (Starr) Wallace, Floyd (Pam) Wallace and Roger (Jennifer) Wallace all of St. Charles; four daughters, Brenda (Ronald) Deaton of Henderson, Tammy (Wayne) Gossett of Madisonville, Nina (Shane) Gordon of Dawson Springs and Sandra (Mark) Mikulski of Madisonville; one sister, Christine Hendrix of OFallon, IL. Children he thought of as his own, Arlice (Bo) Vickers, Wendy Marks, Dolly Sutton all of Madisonville, Charlotte Knowles, Jean Webster and Tonya Higbee all of Mortons Gap, 22 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 30, 2009 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Monty Fuller officiating. Burial will follow in Lake Grove Cemetery in St. Charles. \ Friends may call from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday and after 9:00 A.M., Saturday until the service time at the funeral home. \ Honorary Pallbearers will be Phillip Wallace, Matt Wallace, Brad Draper, Joey Bryant, Jeremy Gossett, Corey Wallace, Bo Vickers and Nick Deaton. Pallbearers will be Kenny Williams, Jacob Wallace, Dakota Wallace, William (Rowdy) Gossett, Casey Wallace, Stephen Gordon, and Quentin Gordon. \ Graveside military service will be conducted by American Legion Post #6 of Madisonville, Post #2 of Earlington, and VFW Post #5480 of Madisonville. \
