Norvell H. Moore Obituary (1944 - 2003)

Mr. Norvell H. Moore, 59, of Madisonville, KY died Monday, December 15, 2003, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY. \ Born April 13, 1944 in Hopkins County, KY he was the son of the late Norvell H. Moore Sr. and Jane Pride Moore. \ Mr. Moore was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, A past member of the Parish Council and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He retired from P&M Coal Company as Production Manager of the McKinley Mine in Gallup, NM. He was owner/operator and airline transport pilot of Moores Flying Service from 1993 to 2001. He was certified as a flight instructor, multi-engine instructor, instrument instructor and advanced ground training instructor. He was currently employed as Project Manager for JEM Sales & Service, Inc. He attended Western Kentucky University, was a member of the National Guard and U.S. Army Reserve and was an Eagle Scout. \ Surviving are his wife of 36 years, Marlene Fusting Moore of Madisonville; two sons, Stephen T. Moore (Stacy Hamilton Moore) of Las Vegas, NV and Michael H. Moore (Kerrie Schnapf Moore) of Cleveland, OH; two brothers, Robert P. Bob Moore and Richard Ed Moore both of Madisonville and one grandson, William E. Moore. \ Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 19, 2003, at Christ the King Catholic Church with Father Gerald Calhoun officiating. Burial will be in Grapevine Cemetery. \ Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday and after 8:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. Friday at the funeral home. \ Prayer services will be held at 6:00 P.M. Thursday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home. \ \ \ \
