Odell S. Crockett Obituary (1935 - 2014)

\ Odell S. Crockett, 79, of Madisonville, KY passed away Monday, December 1, 2014 at Ridgewood Terrace Nursing Home in Madisonville. \ \ She was born August 4, 1935 in Muhlenberg County, KY to the late Clarence Morton Summers and Lola Mable Young Summers. \ \ Mrs. Crockett was a member of the Madisonville Church of Christ, she taught for six years at Nebo Elementary School, she was a counselor for 1 year for Region 2 Education & Health School, she received her Bachelors & Masters degree from Western Kentucky University, was a Kentucky Colonel, she loved her church family and watching TV. \ \ She is survived by a daughter, Cherie Crockett Ray of Madisonville; two sons, John W. (Peggy) Crockett Jr. and David M. (Rita) Crocket both of Madisonville; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. \ \ Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Russell Kline officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Madisonville. \ \ Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday and after 9:00 A.M. until the service time Thursday at the funeral home. \ \
