Ray W. McClaren Obituary (1932 - 2012)

\ Ray Watson McClaren, 80, of Madisonville, KY, passed away Monday, August 13, 2012 at the Regional Medical Center in Madisonville. \ \ He was born March 3rd, 1932 in Beech Creek, KY to the late Cecile Randolf McClaren; and Winnie Ray Ford McClaren. He was also preceded in death by one son, Lawrence Watson McClaren; one step-daughter, Deborah Stallins Senay; and one sister, Martha McClaren. \ \ Mr. McClaren was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Beulah, started the Hopkins County Chapter of KESPA, and a member of the Goldwing GWRRA association. He also retired from the Hopkins County School system. \ \ He is survived by his wife Joyce Ann McClaren; two daughters, Patricia McClaren Baggett of Dawson Springs, K`Y and Amie Crow of Layton, UT; three sons, Kenneth McClaren of Madisonville, Glenn McClaren of FL and Anthony McClaren of Murfreesboro, TN; one step daughter, Teresa Stallins Lander of Keller, TX; 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. \ \ Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Kerry Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Browder Cemetery in Madisonville. \ \ Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Friday and after 12:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \ \
