Samuel Powell Murphy Obituary (1969 - 2009)

Mr. Samuel Powell Murphy, 40, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 10:33 P.M., Wednesday, July 8, 2009 in the critical care unit of Regional Medical Center after a seizure and cardiac arrest complicated by other sudden and serious conditions. \ He was born April 6, 1969 in Smithville, TN. \ He is survived by his life-partner, Timothy Clark of Madisonville; mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. George (Jenny) Herman of McMinnville, TN; father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Murphy of Watertown, TN; one brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Murphy Jr. of Woodbury, TN; one sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Sam (Vicky) Linnear of Auburntown, Tn; two half sisters, Lisa Taylor of Alexandria, TN; and Jolene Smith of Waterton, TN; three nieces and four nephews. \ Sam was an OPI Certified Expert Nail Technician working with LaBelle Day Spa in Greenville, KY, set to graduate in December from Daymar College in Owensboro, KY as a Massage Therapist and Bodywork Therapists. He was also actively working toward a business management degree from KCTCS. \ Funeral Service will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 13, 2009 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Knight and Dr. Bill Thomas officiating. Entombment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville. \ Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Sunday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home and 9:00 AM until service time on Monday at the funeral home. \
