Thomas Edwin Sellers

Mr. Thomas Edwin Sellers, 69, of Hanson, KY died at 7:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at his home. \ Born February 25, 1938 in Madisonville, KY he was the son of the late George Sellers and Lile Dawn Wilson Sellers. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Ramona Sellers; four brothers, Bernie Sellers, Voyd Sellers , Audrey Sellers and George Sellers. \ He was a retired coal miner having worked for Island Creek Coal Co. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Earlington and a US Navy veteran. He was also a former fire chief for the Nebo, KY Fire Department. \ He is survived by his wife, Violet Blue Sellers of Hanson; four sons, Steve Sellers of Evansville, IN, Danny Sellers of Lakeland, FL, Bobby Sellers of Beulah, KY and Ricky Sellers of Madisonville; one stepdaughter, Sandra Blue Brinkley of Madisonville; three stepsons, Anthony Blue of Sebree, KY, Duke Blue of Slaughters, KY and Danny Blue of Hanson; three sisters, Dean Blaine of Nebo, Margie Lynn of Sebree, KY and Carolyn Maynard of Tucson, AZ; one brother, Fred Sellers of Newburgh, IN; seventeen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. \ Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 29, 2007 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Sellers and Dr. Larry Percel officiating. Burial will follow in the Baskett Cemetery in Baskett, KY. \
Pallbearers will be sons, stepsons and family members. \ Friends may call from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday and on Saturday after 9:00 A.M. at the funeral home. \ Memorials may take the form of donations to the Earlington First Baptist Church Building Fund.
