Tollie E. Hancock Obituary (1918 - 2004)

r. Tollie E. Hancock, 85, of Madisonville, Ky died at 10:25 A.M. Wednesday, May 26, 2004 at the Ridgewood Terrace Nursing Home. \ Born June 27, 1918 in Hopkins County, KY he was the son of the late John Walter Hancock and Ora Lee Crowell Hancock. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Etta Bea Winstead Hancock on November 14, 2002 and one grandson, Randall Wilson on May 2, 1994. \ He retired in 1985 having worked as a coal miner for the Island Creek Fies Coal Mine. He was a member of the Messengers of Life Church. \ He is survived by two daughters; Sharon Wilson of Paducah, KY and Marlene Wilson of Madisonville; one son, Ed Hancock of Blacklick, OH; seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. \ Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 30, 2004 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Pastor Russ Wilson and Roger Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville. \ Friends may call on Saturday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Sunday after 12:00 Noon at the funeral home. \ Memorial gifts may take the form of donations to the Alzheimers Association.
