Mr. W.R. Bill Adams Jr., 70, of Madisonville, KY died at 9:00 A.M. Friday, December 9, 2005 at his home. \ Born June 18, 1935 in Gideon, MO he was the son of the late William Roy Adams Sr. and Imogene Lavay Barker Adams. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Lee Polley Adams on June 28, 2003. \ He was a retired switchman for CSX Railroad and a member of the Madisonville First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the Nebo C.S. Hoffman Masonic Lodge #252 F&AM, Scottish Rite, 32nd Degree Mason, Rizpah Shrine Temple, Hopkins County Shrine Club . He was a US Army veteran and a member of the American Legion Post #6. \ He is survived by one daughter, Betty Lee Martin of Madisonville; one son, Billy Ray Adams of Sturgis, KY; three sisters, Shirley Ogden of Fairview Heights, IL, Donna Doty of Maryville, OH and Janice Wilkerson of Memphis, TN; two brothers, Larry Adams of Houston , TX and Bobby Adams of Malden, MO; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. \ Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, Dec. 12, 2005 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Chester Cannon officiating. Burial will follow in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family. \ Friends may call from 3:00 P.M to 8:00 P.M. Sunday and on Monday after 9:00 A.M. until the services at the funeral home. There will be Masonic Rites Sunday at 4:00 P.M. conducted by the C.S. Hoffman Lodge at the funeral home. \ Memorial gifts may take the form of donations to the Shriners Childrens Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \
