Walter \Arnold\"" Tichenor Obituary (1931 - 2010)

Mr. Walter Arnold Tichenor, 79, of Eddyville, KY, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah. \ He was born October 5, 1931 in Ohio Co. KY to the late Rufus Tichenor and Emma St. Claire Tichenor. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Oscar Tichenor; one sister, Marie Eckard; one grandson, Steven Alan Clayton and one granddaughter, Marcy LeAnn Clayton. \ Mr. Tichenor was a member of the Southland Church in Paducah. \ He is survived by three daughters, Jan Crick of Eddyville; Joyce Burns of Madisonville and Pat Cunningham of Plant City, FL; one sister, Katherine Bearden of Madisonville; three brothers, Henry Tichenor of Madisonville; Glenn Tichenor of Madisonville and Johnny Tichenor of Paducah, KY; seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. \ Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, October 10, 2010 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Curtis Petitt officiating. Burial will follow in West Lawn Cemetery in Hanson. \ Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home and from 12:00 P.M. until service time on Sunday at the funeral home. \ Pallbearers will be Jim Breedlove, Bobby Burns, Rusty Burns, Stephen Cates, Larry Kirkland and Tom Winters. \ Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to the Hospice of Lourdes. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. \
