William Thompson

Mr. William Thompson, 79, of Earlington, KY, died Friday, February 15, 2008 at 1:30 A.M. at Brighton Cornerstone Healthcare in Madisonville. \ Born June 9, 1928 in Earlington, he was the son of the late John S. Thompson and Cora Lelia Miller Thompson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frieda Ann Glaysbrook Thompson on May 18, 2007, two sisters, Vernie Mason and Lula Plunkette and three brothers Tom Thompson, Lee Thompson and Joe Thompson. \ He is survived by a sister, Elizabeth Glaysbrook of Earlington and a brother, Alfred Thompson of Earlington. \ Funeral services will be Sunday, February 17, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Darrel Gates officiating. Burial will follow in Grapevine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike McIntosh, Joe Gray, Isaac Gray, Phillip Rhye, David Thompson, Roger Glaysbrook and Gary Glaysbrook. \ Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and from 11:00 A.M. until the service time on Sunday at the funeral home. \ \
